The inspiration for this watercolor painting on bristol came from a photo I took at the Monet gardens last summer. Since this assignment was about perspectives, I felt the view in this image was a perfect example of one-point perspective. This process for this painting was all about layering to get the saturation of color I was looking for and to match the vibrancy of the photo. One of my favorite things about this image is that the house of Claude Monet is hiding in the background at the end of the row. In my painting, however, I decided to only keep the door in the painting to provide a bit of mystery, like a secret door…
