As previously mentioned, she was recorded on the security camera in the elevator, and then people have never seen her again. It was a creepy video. Elisa Lam was making eccentric motions, like jumping in and out of the elevator and acting as she was playing hide and seek. Meanwhile, guests started to complain about the water in Cecil Hotel.

Several weeks later, Elisa Lam was discovered in one of the four water tanks located on the roof of the hotel when the maintenance worker Santiago Lopez was investigating the complaint about water quality on Feb. 19. It is hard to imagine how the guests would feel when they know that there was a decomposing body inside the water tank while they “brushed their teeth, bathed and drank with water from it” (Duke, CNN). Furthermore, how would Elisa’s family feel when they found out their daughter died so tragically and mysteriously?
