In accordance with a documentary of Elisa’s case, the blood test of Elisa Lam has shown that “she has taken only antidepressant without antipsychotic to balance the effect of the antidepressant, which increased the risk of manic episode” (The Paranormal Scholar). Another possibility is that she was experiencing a “psychotic break (commonly triggered by mania), which led a lack of reasoning” (Petro). Therefore, this reasoning is most likely to be why she had those odd actions. It was also highly possible that after running out of the elevator, she ran to the roof, opened the lid of the water tank and pulled herself up, which led to the accidental drowning since she was experiencing a loss of reasoning.
