Ana Paula Siqueira, PhD

Dr. Siqueira is pursuing a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Health from Federal University State of Goias, and is a visiting scholar at Georgia State University under Dr. Feresin’s Mentorship. Prior to pursuing a second PhD, Dr. Siqueira earned a PhD in Agricultural Sciences with concentration in Vegetal Production and obtained an M.S. degree in Food Science and Technology. Her research interests reside in chronical diseases and obesity, specifically metabolic syndrome associated with food behavior. She also studies nutrition and sports. Dr. Siqueira is a professor at Federal Institute of Goiás and mentors undergraduate students in Nutrition and graduate students in Conservation Resources of Cerrado Bioma. 

Outside of research, Dr. Siqueira is passionate about culinary. Specially pastry.
