Millions of pretty nail polish colors fill the walls. You are greeted gracefully as soon as you walk into the nail salon. Mostly women are here in the nail salon getting pampered maintaining manis and pedis. The costumers that occupy this space value looks and being treated nicely. The workers value happiness from the costumers. This space is a temporary get away that consist of massage chairs and people who want to cater to you.

The occupants of my local library include a variety of people ranging from little kids discovering books for the first time to grade school kids trying to do research for poster board projects that their teacher assigned them. I myself am an occupant of the library. The people who occupy this place usually occupy this place because they want to discover books, to have a nice quiet place to read, or even a place to research. Some things important to the occupants of this place include the want to learn. The fact that the library is usually quiet enough to concentrate, and read in is one of the factors that controls how the occupants interact with their environment. Another addition is the fact that most libraries have internet access.  Also the fact that you can pull reading materials right off of the shelf.

As I walked into Gamestop, I noticed that there were more people than usual. I noticed some kids over at the WiiU section, and that was strange to me. Who still would buy a Wii U? Their hardware is outdated and their games are dying. They probably are too young to realize that buying that console is a waste of money, or that they are attached to the old Gamecube days.. I moved my eyes to the Xbox section and it had a lot more people. The Battlefield 1 beta section was packed and noisy. The guys over there were yelling and screaming whenever they got killed. I thought to myself, did they just come to Gamestop to play a demo? That’s dedication right there! They must be one of those hardcore Battlefield fanboys. I noticed that the 2k17 area was filled with mostly African Americans, but they weren’t loud like the Battlefield section. They talked with a normal tone and did some fake hoops. Realizing that I stood there for a straight five minute looking at people; I made my way to get my prepaid card. The cards are all the way in the back and usually empty. I saw a girl back there as I made my way to the cards. We both reach for the same card which was the League of Legend one and I greeted her. She was there because she didn’t trust online payment, and I had an instant connection. I knew she was here for a safety net, and I respect that. I walked out Gamestop with a new friend.

You can hear the blood curdling screams as you walk to the entrance, cars patiently or rather impatiently waiting at the toll before parking, people stacked on top of each other in gruesomely long lines anticipating entry. People come here for a good time, to feel the thrill, for good food, and bonding. This can be a place for family days or dates, birthday parties or spontaneous dares. Here politics don’t matter, religious views don’t matter, sexual preference does not matter, race doesn’t matter. All that truly matters while you’re here is having fun and if you don’t have fun you’ve legitimately done something wrong. This is the place where some can conquer their biggest fears. Six Flags is honestly a positive place to be anger here is rare, despite the scorching sun beaming on the backs of visitors and roller coaster riders. This is a place of euphoria no wrong can be done here; a wonderland for kids and adults in the same breath. Stress free to let your inner child run wild.

The seventh floor, of building two, someone scans their apartment card and opens the door to reveal a majestic pool with lights, and easing around the corner a beautiful sight of the city. The one 12 apartment complex’s rooftop pool is full of a variety of occupants. From the mid day time, sun shining, people sunbathe, or students in the shaded side of the pool chairs on their MacBooks completing homework assignments. During the day the pool is full of buses driving by down on the street, breaking the silence of the birds chirping, or the occasional chatter boxes walking across to get to the other building. During the morning or day, the occupants care about life, with completing assignments, reading a book, or relaxing while taking in the view. At night, the longer time passes, the parties start to stir and music and laughter fills the roof. There’s people smoking by the edge, people dancing and laughing, splashing in the pool. The one 12 apartment rooftop pool is typically full of Georgia state students, friends knowing each other, and is a student like gathering center. The double doors is a doorway to another dimension, the rooftop pool.

At Stone Mountain, the occupants of this space are not limited. The people who visit here are those who value family. Stone Mountain is a place where quality time can be spent with your loved ones by watching the Laser show at night or visiting several different attractions they offer there. However this is not the only form of people who occupy this space. This place is also filled with individuals who value their health. People get up as early as 6 a.m. to hike up the actual mountain for exercise. This is not only beneficial for their well-being, but they also get to watch the sunrise if they get there early enough. Finally, there are those who come to Stone Mountain because they appreciate nature. For some people, there is nothing more relaxing than taking a stroll down a nature trail, while breathing in the fresh, open air.

Even before you walk into the game room inside the student recreation center, you can already hear the chattering and billiard balls clashing into each other. Because I usually walk inside the room around 5 pm with my friends, the game room is packed with Georgia State students. Most of the students have their book bags tossed to the side of the room or on their backs, which indicates that they came straight from their last class. Each student here came to the game room to have fun and socialize, and the games in the room help all of us connect with one another.  For my friends and me, that game is billiards. As my friend and I begin a billiard match, we also stir up conversations with neighboring billiard players. Sometimes, experience students give us advice on a play while others stand back and watch. There are even times when there is a circle around a billiards table, especially if there is a particularly aggressive match occurring. Students come here with their friends to play a friendly match and often leave the game room having met new people. Even a person who is usually quiet may find it easier to make friends at the student recreation game room. At the end of each match, I always look around the room and smile. Any GSU student can come inside the room to play and be immediately welcomed with laughter of friends and smiles from strangers. Like everyone else who comes in to play, I love playing billiards because the environment helps me relieve my stress from school and I like to socialize with old and new friends.

Those that occupy this space are inquisitive scholars that want to learn, or those that love books. The place I’m talking about is the library. The occupants are provided with a plethora of novels that will quench their thirst for any situation. It provides a quite, wholesome reading experience which is important for most avid readers. The comfort of having such a variety of novels allows the reader to explore, and venture into a new set of genres. The importance of satisfying the mind with a good read can have positive affect on how you view the surroundings around you. The library is a large space in which the occupants flock to  in order to escape into a realm of “books”. Be it fictional or Non-fiction the library provides a perpetual cycle of knowledge. In turn the occupants are entertained, and have more of a reason to stay.

When walking into the manifestation of fashion that is Armani Exchange, one may lose themselves in the mid-tempo music that fits the current mood.  Those who inhabit this vast space are those who value fashion(good taste in the fashion).  The sleek, silver colors of the walls provide a futuristic feel to the environment and adds a sort of elegance and class for the inhabitants .  Each article of clothing is coordinated by color, size , and season giving a great overview of what’s current in the fashion world and what suits their(the inhabitants)style.
