About Lostintheletters
Lostintheletters is an Atlanta-based creative writing organization that builds an inclusive, community-based alternative to academic creative writing programs by bringing together writers, readers, and literary enthusiasts through low-cost, high-quality programs, including a quarterly reading series, generative workshops, and the annual Letters Festival.
Since 2013, we have hosted many wonderful authors, including Billy-Ray Belcourt, Jericho Brown, Anthony Cody, Lydia Conklin, CAConrad, Roxane Gay, Allegra Hyde, Ashley M. Jones, Dorthea Lasky, Carmen Maria Machado, Susan Nguyen, Diana Khoi Nguyen, Eloghosa Osunde, Morgan Parker, Andre Perry, Tommy Pico, Khadijah Queen, Solmaz Sharif, Susan Steinberg, Phillip B. Williams, and many others.
Lostintheletters has received financial support from the Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, CALA Alliance, Fulton County Arts Council, Georgia Council for the Arts, Georgia Humanities, Mailchimp, and Poets & Writers.
Lostintheletters Internship Description
What we’re looking for:
- Passion for literature and the literary community
- Familiarity with the contemporary literature landscape
- Experience creating and sharing content on social media platforms
- Good communication skills
- Eagerness to problem solve
What you’ll do:
- Help plan and manage the forthcoming 2024 and 2024 events
- Communicate with authors
- Promote programs
- Conduct community outreach
- Research grant funding opportunities
- Help execute reading events and craft workshops
The Lostintheletters intern will work with the Executive Director to determine the capacity for taking on specific tasks and meet weekly to discuss progress.
