Student: Kalyn Hardman

Instructor: Chris Hayter

Institutional Assistance: CURVE

Choreographer and GSU student Kalyn Hardman choreographed and co-directed  this short film as a way of responding to a close friend with Bipolar Disorder. She enjoys interdisciplinary work and learned a great deal about her own artistic process working with dancers, musicians, and a videographer. She received feedback on the dialogue in the video from her creative writing instructor Chris Hayter.  Kalyn hopes “this video would serve not only as [her] own coping mechanism, but also as a source of hope to anyone who has ever felt inadequate. It is a reminder that you are worthy of love. Despite the number on the scale, score on the IQ test, diagnosis on the referral slip, deprecating voices in your head, you are worthy.”
