In a response to Brennan Collin’s 4200 course Comics and Graphic Novels, a pair of students, David Goins and Alyssa Armand chose to analyze the use of the color red in an inventive way. Goins wrote a comic that shows how effective a red item in a black-and-white setting can be. Armand illustrated the piece using multimodally layered artwork.
