The image is a Pampers advertisement showing a baby sleeping in his crib at 3am. The purpose of this advertisement should be to encourage parents to buy Pampers. The advertisement is trying to make the parents feel like this could be their baby. Most babies like to cry at night so the fact that the baby is sleeping at 3am is just to show the parents that babies will be able to sleep with their diapers comfortably. Another detail that shows the comfort of the diaper to the parents is the fact that the baby has its arms and legs wide open showing that it is comfortable. All these things are tactics used to persuade the parent to buy their diaper. It is also important to notice that they are using colors that are associated with security and innocence such as white. These colors subconsciously make the parents feel security for their innocent children when they see this advertisement. Overall, I believe that the purpose of the image is to persuade parents to buy their diapers because of the sense of comfort and security it will bring to their child much like the one in the advertisement

The picture that I chose was taken on January 30th, 2017. I took this picture is because it reminds me of all the great moments I have had in college with my friends. Every time I see this it makes me feel real happy since I would have never thought I would have had so many good memories in this place with my college friends. This image contains the piedmont north A lobby and it is basically 2 big couches, 2 low chairs, 2 high chairs, 2 tables and a tv. These things do not really reveal anything about society but they does reveal an example of what the college community likes to do. The objects in the image have a history of serving my community as a resting stop, uno playing spot, party place, and last minute homework making place. I would share this image with all of my friends and everyone who currently hangs out in the lobby because they would understand true reason why this picture is so meaningful to me.
