Astronomy from the early ideas of the cosmos to modern observational techniques. The solar system planets, satellite and minor bodies are studied. The origin and evolution of the solar system are studied.

Prerequisites: ASTR 1010/1010L or ASTR 1010K with grades of D or higher

The study of the Sun and stars, their physical properties and evolution, interstellar matter, star clusters, our galaxy and other galaxies, and the origin of the Universe.
