There are two men of different races (white and black), each holding a white sheet of paper with black writing on them. The guy on the left side holds the paper with a message saying “Is his life worth less than mine” with an arrow pointing towards the black guy, and on the right side the black man holds the paper with the message “Is his life worth more than mine” and his arrow points toward the white man. The image is cropped just enough to get the messages directly in front of the viewers eyes. The guys are not spaced apart, they are sitting close to one another, which also hits an important point within the image, showing that the photograph is sincere and not an act. The setting is dark behind the men but their area has lighting, which brings attention to them from the start. The two men and the signs are both equally positioned, which is important because it shows that the race and message  both play an enormous part in the photograph.
