Month: December 2015
- One concept I learned was to add a jump-to-top link for pages that are long. I’ve been to many websites that don’t have this and i’d have to scroll all the way back. This handy concept will make the viewers’ experiences better on your webpage.
- Another concept I learned was making sure to add the date of publication and updates. This helps readers know the accuracy of a post. It allows to see how credible an up to date information is and the relevancy.
- When creating a webpage make sure the font, styles, colors, and page layouts are consistent. This helps visitors know when they are on and off your page. It can also create a professional look when you pick a consistent theme.
- Your heading font should stand out from the body of the text. This allows readers so know what they’re reading and it makes the page look organized. Avoid fonts that could difficult to read. Also, make sure the color of the font doesn’t clash with the color of the background.
- When it comes to pictures and videos, don’t overcrowd the page. Use multimedia only when needed and to get the point across. Too many videos and pictures can be distracting.
