For this project, we had to find a book, take it apart, and reassemble it in a new way. The book I chose was For Boys Only. The concept was to create a phoenix emerging from the book. The black, white, and red of the pages could be used as flames and texture. I placed some wire between the wings to give them more stability and cut up each page for the flames. I used water to curl the edges of the pages and covered them with acrylic paint to give it a burnt look.
