For my photos I wanted to emphasize the variety of color and scale of the organic matter. I brought rocks from outside and glued them to a wood base and paint poured black and white paint on them. I was inspired by the rock sculptures by Andy Goldsworthy and wanted to take an abstract approach. This mini project took less than 2 hours, and the materials were inexpensive, especially the rocks, since they are part of nature and in my backyard.
The use of paint essentially emphasizes the deterioration of nature and the use of black and white, which are two contrasting colors unify the piece.
I love the depth and dimension of your nature prompt, it looks like a natural structure, like an agate or mineral. It’s so sculptural, I love it.
