Meghyn Welch
PhD Student
Meghyn is a PhD student in the Neurobiology and Behavior program at Georgia State University. Currently, she is studying dopaminergic co-regulation of two ionic conductances, IA and Ih, mediated by HCN and Kv4 channels respectively, in mouse hippocampal neurons. To do this she uses a variety of techniques including immunocytochemistry, confocal microscopy, and whole cell patch clamp recordings. Before starting in the Baro lab, Meghyn graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Mercer University.
