Janhavi is an undergraduate Honors Biology student who has been a part of the lab since her freshman year at Georgia State University. Currently, she is studying a mutant strain for HCN2 channel surface expression through SUMO post-translational modification for a Molecular Basis of Disease Fellowship. To do this she uses a variety of techniques including running BCA Assays, preparing and analyzing IP and Lysate Gels, and performing transfections on Human Embryonic Kidney cells. Janhavi aspires to continue focusing on the sciences after graduation and attend medical school.
