Assignment 4.1

My key words for this assignment were: Computer Science AND Internship AND Georgia

Nearly all of the results from regular search engines were based on career opportunities in Atlanta, Georgia. Considering my search was made up of broad keywords, lot of suggestions were repeated (ie: WayUp, Indeed, Internships.com). Although the results are all very similar in the fact that they provide the same services and style of website, there was one result (from Lycos) that provided a link to opportunities for college students. This is a more specific link, which shows me that maybe adding “and college” into my keywords would have made for a more efficient search experience.

In the Meta-Search Engines, there were several Educational resources that, in some cases, didn’t necessarily pertain to the keywords I entered. There were some results similar to those above, like Stroff or Connect-123, but these were based in areas other than Georgia, straying from one of my keywords. In other meta-search engines, there were some other college-oriented results (like UGA Career Center).

Due to technical difficulties, my table has been put into image form. Below is the chart for Unit 4, Assignment 1.

Tool Inventory

Assignment 2.3

Task 1
You have to lead an online presentation on the contents of your history term paper.

Tools: Canva, Google Slides

Reason: Both are free, simple-to-use presentation tools that include templates and many helpful internal tools to make any project easier.

Task 2
The final exam for your economics course is coming up, and you need to collect all of your (and hopefully your classmates’) online resources for a study guide.

Tools: Coggle, Quizlet

Reason: These tools specialize in compiling information in an easy-to-read manner. This would make studying a lot easier than reading paper notes.
