Research Paper-Kindred

     Essay two focused on contemporary problems inspired by the graphic novel Kindred. Hence, I wrote about the causes of obesity, its consequences, if not addressed, and the possible solutions to prevent obesity. I chose obesity as my contemporary topic to be solved now so that when my successors look back to my time period do not question why it still affecting people while I could have been prevented it. Obesity which is the rapid growth of individuals with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or more that causes a disorder involving excessive body fat around organs and under the skin, really affects the lives of people, mostly in the United States because of lack of the lack and access to affordable healthy food, lack of physical activities and of education on eating healthy.                   Consequently, the United States will face a mortality crisis where people will die younger due to health problems, suffer from psychosocial burdens, as well as mental disorders. Therefore, to prevent the harmful effects of obesity on our lives, we should act now by approaching the obesity crisis at the micro, meso and macro levels, involving families, communities and the government for a success.
