Project III was about the use of the additive drawing process. This involved working with very light pencil marks and moving on to darker movements to create a shift in values. The pencil had to be worked with by the very edge in order to get the lightest touch. Working this way really helps with placing the object in the empty space because we had to refrain from using lines. Not only this, but we also had to refrain from the use of erasers, or at least reliance on erasers to shape the objects and tones. This project mostly required the use of charcoal pencils. It was accomplished on drawing paper at the size of 18 in. x 24 in.
