Project II

Page

Project II focused on the use of reductive drawing. Reductive drawing is the use of erasing from the drawing to create different values instead of adding the values. This was done by covering the paper with charcoal and using an eraser to remove some of the charcoal. For this, vine charcoal, erasers such as kneaded erasers, gum erasers, and eraser pens were needed. Makeup sponges and/or paper towels were also handy for smudging. This was done on drawing paper at a size of 18 in. x 24 in.
