Scott Kleinmann

Scott is a senior research associate in the Global Studies Institute at Georgia State University. Scott has conducted field research on Islamic conversion, religious sectarianism, radicalization, and political violence in the United States, The United Kingdom, Singapore, and Indonesia. He is the author and co-author of various articles and papers, including: “Radicalization of Homegrown Sunni Militants in the United States: Comparing Converts and Non-converts,” in Studies in Conflict and Terrorism and “How Rigorous is Radicalization Research?” in Democracy and Security. Kleinmann was previously a senior research associate at the Center for Terrorism and Security Studies (CTSS) at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, a research fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation and Political Violence (ICSR) in London, and a visiting fellow at the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) in Singapore.
