Matthew Leifheit and Kris Graves were quite similar in their work process . Matthew Leifheit used the experiences of his life and his beliefs and translated it through his work. I also enjoyed that he had historical facts about where he was shooting and what he was shooting. Matthew Leifheit mentioned that the place that he was shooting was historically an area were gay pride was celebrated. Also he said that he wasn’t the best at photographing landscapes, but he showed us some that he has taken. I was really encouraged that he was continuing to work on something that he felt that he wasn’t the best at. Even though he is of a higher status in the photography community and has had plenty of successes, he still continues to work on his craft. I always enjoyed how the person that introduced him has met Matthew Leifheit beforehand. It showed that he was down to earth and friendly.
