This article is about the festival international de la mode Africaine (FIMA). This article is about the seventh the biannual fashion show held from Oct. 25th through Nov. 1st,2009, in Niamey Niger. The article argues that African fashion design supplies a fortune of information for art historiographers. The articles main idea however, is about the importance of African fashion and FIMA to popular African culture. FIMA epitomized reassurance for the local economy, African individuality, in the world wide desires of the continents.

So over all, the argument that African fashion design supplies a fortune of information for art historiographers works because African fashion did indeed supply lots of information for historians, whether it was through the local economy, African individuality, or the worldwide desires of the continent. Historians now have the availability to attack whatever point of view they have from any aspect they like concerning FIMA and its impacts on Africa and the rest of the world.
