For the 8 ways of looking at a piece of paper, the goal was to change the degree of the flatness of a paper and make it three-dimensional. We need to create 8 sculptures using only one paper to create something out of the norm. After creating these sculptures, we then needed to photograph them by playing with light and angles to see them completely transformed. I truly enjoyed this project. It was definitely one of my favorites, because of the photography aspect. Playing light and using a flash light to control the light was all very fun and interesting to me. It amazed me how much light was able to compliment these figures, with their cast shadows in the background and it creating a whole other story. For this first piece, I thought it would be cool to create something that is a light source. The idea of making something thats not naturally light was very fun for me to think about. So i decided to make a lighter with some cigarettes on the side. After having made the figures i knew the cast shadows would be fun to shoot. Overall, I would do it again.For this piece i created a Lamp and a Chair. Once again, I wanted to create a source of light so that when it came to taking pictures they would have a story or more depth for the viewer.
