Club Information

Are you interested in engineering or computer science? Join CLACEC to hear from speakers in industry and academia, take field trips to local companies, and get hands-on experience during our lab sessions!

The Clarkston Computing and Engineering Club (CLACEC) is a student club on Georgia State University’s Perimeter College Clarkston Campus. We have general meetings every other week which feature speakers and other activities and we have two lab sessions each week to work on a variety of projects. Past projects include: drones, Thor’s Hammer, hyperloop model, and robots. For information about this semester’s schedule and upcoming events, please see our Facebook page.

CLACEC’s mission is:

  • To engage students whose studies involve all aspects of both computer science and engineering.
  • To encourage and promote academic excellence in the fields of computing and engineering.
  • To introduce students to real world applications associated with the fields of computer science and engineering.
  • To encourage and promote leadership skills among young professionals studying the fields of computer science and engineering.

Students from all majors are welcome to participate in CLACEC.
