Lejla Alijevic’s Donation Project

I chose to do this project because it is important for kids to read to help with self improvement, brain development, and imagination boost. You can read about how to build self confidence, how to make a better planning before action; how to memorize things better. For brain development, understanding the written word is one way the brain grows in its ability. Reading exposes you to a world of imagination, with reading, a person can go anywhere in the world. This is the reason why I chose to do this project because I want to make sure every single kid has the ability to get books to make books waterfall and not deserts. Most important it can improve their personalities which will help them to function in today’s society. The goal of the project is to make sure there are multiple ways for kids to have the ability to get books. Not only in school, but at the park, neighborhood, library, and etc. For that need to happen, we want to donate books as the goal is to get 1000 books per semester. The research I did for this project was by donating books directly to post office in order to get delivered to Clarkston High School. This will be my second time donating books to same high school. I am not only donating my books but a friend of mine was interested to help this project out by donating some of her books as well. Last semester I have donated 80 books. This semester I donated 16 books, it may not be plenty, but it is something to give than nothing. 9 books are children books that most grade level can read. 3 books are Dork Diaries that would be for upper grade level in elementary and middle. 4 books are elementary reading level of describing important people’s bibliography. My advice is to help out if you can when we want the best for the children in this world. Reading develops the creative side of people because it boosts their imagination. We want everyone to have their imagination. It is never too late to help out and donate.
