Beginning September 25, the following features will be available in Webex and iCollege:
Webex — Webex Assistant Provides Live Captioning
The new Webex Assistant, available beginning September 25, will allow Webex Meeting participants to view live, machine-provided captioning during a Webex meeting hosted by Georgia State instructors and staff. These captions are available on mobile devices, but they are not available during breakout rooms. For more information, please review our knowledge base articles:
Assignments — Copy Assignments in iCollege
Assignments can now be copied from within a single course. This feature can help instructors who are building weekly assignments that have similar settings or are graded against the same rubric. The option is available in the drop-down menu beside each assignment.
Quizzes — Attach files in arithmetic and significant figures questions
Expanding on the functionality provided in August, instructors can now allow students to upload files in Arithmetic and Significant Figures questions in iCollege Quizzes. Please note that this feature does work with Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor; allowing students to use this option will allow them to browse through their computer files during the quiz or test and may provide additional opportunities to circumvent testing security.
Content — Updated Daylight Templates have been released
When building Content in iCollege, you will be able to use the latest versions of the Daylight templates. For more information on using Templates in Brightspace Content, please review this iCollege Now article. For a preview of the new templates, please visit the D2L templates page.
