This is our last and my most favorite project in studio art. Our assignment was to create a sequential narrative and 3 drawings of atmosphere, 1 point and 2 point perspective of a dream we had in the past. My dream was set in Miami on a class field trip but most of it surrounds my friend and I. We start our journey descending into the Miami airport. The next scene is set on South Beach where we decide to go rollerskating. We stumble across an expensive store and find our roller skates that are priced at $600. We decide to borrow them and take them for a spin. However, we end up scuffing them and begin to freak out. Unfortunately we decide to take them instead of paying the price (we would never do that in real life!!!). We end up running away and hopping on a plane! And that’s the end of my story!
My process began once again with Pinterest looking up photos of Miami. I then found a bright color scheme to match my dream. The materials I used were notecards for the sequential narrative and watercolor pencils. I also used watercolor paper and pencils for my 1/2 point perspective. Lastly, I used a crow-quill pen and tan paper to finish the project. While this was the most time consuming project, it was definitely the most enjoyable!
