The visual implication of the image is dark in a sense representing trouble of some sort. In the picture, it seems as though the girl is held captive as she seems fearful hence the hands coming from behind covering her mouth. Her wide, menacing eyes are inferring trouble. The image could be referring to trafficking as the text in the image states, “ this isn’t how she imagined her first job,” plus the hands in the image further adds to my point that she is being forced to do something without her will. The idea raises awareness about trafficking as each year, thousands of girls worldwide are being trafficked into prostitution or child labor. It also guides us to understand that she is in some kind of problem. Something unexpected happened to her on her first job, or she’s being forced to do something she wasn’t expecting to do. This image use pathos because it is helping me understand the people who get trafficking. I feel terrified when I look at the written words because it makes me think that the same thing can happen to any of us. Lots of people reassure themselves by saying, “this is not going to happen to me”, but no one knows what’s going to happen to that person. As much as I know this type of situation has been going our society for so long, no one has taken the steps to stop that person until something happens to their own family members. We need more people to understand that girls life is not a toy to play around with when you’re bored, and I think It very important to educate our community based on who’s the victims and who we need to speak up for. We need to save the girls from trafficking as the number of trafficking is increasing every day.
