my story, my dreams and goals

Hey, my name is Champa Biswa, and I am 19 years old. I was born in Nepal. I grew up in Nepal half of my childhood as a refugee, I had a brother when I was 6 years old. While I was growing up, I had lots of cousins from different camps. We used to gather up on our festival Dashain and Tihar. It comes once a year. Dashain is being celebrated is that people are having when they get to meet their loved ones and get the blessings from the elders. Tihar is a five days festival, four days are celebrated for animals and the last day of the festival is Laxmi puja, goddess of wealth, lighting lamps, and visiting families and communities. When I was 9 years old, I came to America as a refugee. It was a little easy for us in America because half of my relatives were here. My family is the main reason who made me the person I am today. Whenever I needed something, they were always there to support whatever I wanted to do. My cousins were my best friend and I am able to share everything with them.

When I was a little girl, I had always dreamed of being a dancer. As I grow older, I start thinking about what I want to be, what I wanted to do, and questioning myself what is going to make me happy. I have a dream to own my company and have lots of money so I can help others who need help. I chose environmental engineering as my journey because I want to help people to improve the natural environment. The perimeter has made me more confident in being in college, and it also made me clear my confusion. It also gives me the motivation to be a person that I want to be.

My goals for this class are to learn as much as I can to achieve what I need it. I will work very hard to get what I want to be and being able to write an essay and improve my work. My long- term personal goals are to help myself to make my parents proud of me and graduate from college.

The strategies that I will use to achieve my goals for this class are practice self- quizzing and generation. I think it is easy for me to ask myself questions and solve them before seeing the solutions. I will study at home for at least 4 days a week.
