Project 4

Portraits: Monochromatic, Cubistic, Admiration

Monochromatic

Cubistic

Admiration Portrait

For this project we have to draw ourselves and breakdown the features of our face and paint it as realistically as possible for the achromatic portrait. The cubistic portrait allows us to disfigure our face and collage it. The admiration portrait involves taking an artist work and paint ourselves in their style.

For the monochromatic I had to use a mirror to paint myself in still life, using only black and white. The cubistic portrait I had to choose and analogous color which was yellow green, green and blue green. Using this colors I had to use a split complementary and the was red. Overall my portrait was a merging face of two sides. The last portrait I chose to Egon Schiele, which for me was interesting to paint his style. His style is deformed and he bring out his features like eyes, nose and ears which I tried to do. Even his color choices is very soft but there are tiny hints of blue and red which I included.
