Although same-sex marriages are legal throughout the United States they’re are still a numerous amount of people who are against it. For an example, clerks who oppose gay marriages doesn’t have to give the couple their license. They can simply refuse and the couple would have to find someone else willing to give them their marriage license. Since the SCOTUS ruling the clerks have started to not give them out which causes weddings to be delayed and is just unfair to the couple. Most clerk offices only have ONE clerk who is willing to give the couple their license other offices just shutdown completely due to this ruling of same-sex marriages. Despite all the barriers in the way including states such as, Texas and Alabama,  gay marriages have been a success in all 50 states and although everyone isn’t on the same page with it, it’s slowly becoming a success throughout the nation.
