I decided to create a butterfly using rocks, dried leaves, rose petals, pine cones, and twigs. I first used sticks to outline the shape of a butterfly. I then proceeded to use rocks to finalize the shape due to their contrast in pigmentations. The rocks also possessed an organic shape, and a large number of them actually had curvature which aided in the final shape of the wings. I collected rocks with two different colors to add dimension to the piece. I layered pine cones in the bottom two wings to fill them in. The flower petals helped make the final piece more interesting by adding a pop of color.
