Chapter 2 of HTML and CSS by Jon Duckett

Chapter 2 exercise:

My 2nd webpage

My second practice webpage

Html for my 2nd webpage

And the html for it

What I learned/Key terms:

Tags (or markup) give extra meaning and allow browsers to show users the correct structure of a webpage. For future reference (and progress check ups) I talk about the different tags I learned in Chapter 2 in my practice webpage, also showing the html I used for it.

structural markup– the elements used to describe headings and paragraphs.

semantic markup– provides extra info like that something is a quote, emphasis, the meaning of acronyms, etc.

A social media profile of a professional with my dream job

https://www.linkedin.com/in/asri-puspa-rini-a3521ab1?trk=seokp-title_posts_secondary_cluster_res_author_name

This is a link to the LinkedIn profile of Asri Puspa Rini, a technical writer in Indonesia. I chose it because I want to be a technical writer. It can help me tailor my resume to being a technical writer because it lists the skills she has which are skills that if I have I can emphasize in my resume, but more importantly they are skills that I can try to develop during my time in college. For example her profile mentions that she has knowledge of html, which is a language that I would like to learn.

Her profile also says how she has experience as both a technical writer and project manager, which I like because project management is a career that I would like to possibly transition into from being a technical writer. She also mentions a lot of the experience that she has from being a technical writer and project manager in different sections of her profile. For example, she mentions her experience with documentation. This and experience like it from her resume will show me what kind of things people in this kind of position look for.
