My name is Briona D. Kelley and I am a current sophomore college student at Georgia State University. I was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised there until I was six years old. Later, I was relocated to live in Atlanta, Georgia to be raised by my grandmother and receive a better education. My mother was a teen parent and wanted nothing but the best for me. My mother and grandmother taught me that education is the only way to a successful life. Furthermore, as a child watching my mother struggle to raise me psychologically placed in my mind and heart that I would go to college and finish what she did not. Also, growing up as the only child gave me a desire for babies and other helpless mammals that cannot speak for them. I went from wanting to be a veterinarian as a child, to an OB/GYN, and now to a Registered Nurse. Thus, Pre-Nursing is my major at GSU. I hope and pray that working to my highest potential will allow me to become a Nurse in Labor and Delivery as my career.
