line project

Summary

We started off by making 10 line compositions in our sketchbook for this project. We played around with different styles like thin lines, bold lines, curved thin lines, bold curved lines, and combinations of different types.
After that, we took the strongest composition and created 8 compositions using a 4x4 square. We used the previous composition as a starting point for each new drawing.
In the third step, we made 4 new compositions using the strongest one from step 2. This time, we used a 6x6 square and had the freedom to create as many lines as we wanted.
For our final composition, we created two 8x8 squares and basically let our creativity run wild with the lines, as long as it didn't look too similar to our previous work. It was a challenge, but after numerous attempts, it became easier as I discovered new things I liked. I wasn't limited at all in the end. I'm really happy with how my final two compositions turned out, but if I were to do them again, I would add more contrast.
