Final project (Abstraction)

For this piece, I tried something new and went for a freestyle approach. I combined various colors, which is not something I usually do, but I’m really happy with how it turned out. All the colors stand out and blend nicely together.

The inspiration behind this piece is a food item that I enjoyed and had the chance to try in France. It was absolutely delicious, so I decided to transform a picture of the croissant into an abstract art piece.

This is the final piece I worked on, and I’m quite fond of it. The colors I used, orange and blue, are complementary and have always appealed to me. Even though I completed this piece quickly, I appreciate its simplicity. I believe it has the potential to look even better, so I might go back and make some additions to it.

2D Class take away

I’ve learned a lot in this 2D class, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed it. Each project we worked on allowed me to tap into my creativity in different ways, which I appreciated. It was great to start with smaller and easier projects, even though they didn’t feel easy at the time. Now that we’ve reached the end of this piece, I can confidently say I’ve come a long way. I truly enjoyed the flexibility our professor provided, offering suggestions but also allowing us the freedom to explore. The class environment, including my classmates, was incredibly supportive and created a wonderful space for learning and growth. Thank you for making this class and year truly memorable.
