Summary
Our project, the moving collage, served as our initial undertaking for a 2-dimensional design class. We initiated the project by crafting a viewfinder, an essential tool for our creative process. Next, we proceeded to create a series of marks on four sheets of paper - three white and one black - measuring 12x18 inches. To fulfill the requirements, each paper had to carry a minimum of 150 marks. It is important to note that these marks were intended to form patterns, adding a specific touch to our artwork. Once all the marks were completed, we proceeded to cut out the pieces, resulting in five distinct forms. These deliberate cuts aimed to accomplish unity, variety, as well as directional force or line and shape within our artwork. For the final composition, we utilized all the pieces obtained from each paper, allowing for the formation of an ever-changing arrangement. Although a minimum of six compositions were expected, we were welcome to create additional ones if we desired to do so. This part of the project offered an opportunity for playful experimentation, while simultaneously posing a challenge in creating aesthetically pleasing compositions. Considering the multitude of patterns and cut-out pieces, it is evident that this project was undeniably abstract in nature.

The first three-piece happen to be one of my favorites, mainly because I love the diverse variety of shapes it showcases. As for my second piece, I have quite a fondness for it as well, especially because it is borderless. Lastly, the third picture I have is actually the second one, but it has a border and is displayed upside down.
