Well Hello,

My name is Bryce. I attended South Gwinnett High School in Snellville,Georgia. I am a freshman at Georgia State University. I am a Business major. I look forward to meeting new people and having fun in Ms A’s English 1102 Class.

  • Annotated Bibliography (10 entries): 250-500 point
  • Built Environment Descriptions (3) 1 each for exterior, interior, & digital space: 300-600 points
  • Built Environment Analysis (1): 300-600 points
  • Participation (including attendance): 400-???.

3. What is the “submission form” and how do you use it?

  • We Use this form to submit pretty much everything we want to earn points for, such as, Study group reflections, major project drafts, contributions to our Atlanta built environment archive, etc. We will need to submit a link to evidence of your work on your own site, on Zotero, on Google Maps, or elsewhere on the web. We have to fill out the form using our name name, gsu email address, instructor’s name, and the URL to whatever were submitting.

  • The best way to see an overview of what’s due each week is to subscribe to the Google calendar and have it available for you to see (detailed) in your personal calendar each week.

8. What is the attendance policy?

  • You earn points for coming to class and lose points for unexcused absences. Students in the M/W F2F section earn 20 points for coming to class, and lose 20 points for each absence. Students in the hybrid sections earn 40 points for coming to class, and lose 40 points for each absence. Arriving to class late will result in a deduction of 10-20 points. In this course, students are expected to adhere to the Georgia State University student code of conduct. This includes the university attendance policy. Excused absences are limited to university-sponsored events where you are representing GSU in an official capacity, religious holidays, and legal obligations such as jury duty or military service days. Absences for all other reasons will result in a points deduction as outlined above.

  • Your office hours are Tuesdays 9:30-11:30am, and also by appointment, WebEx, or Google Hangout if not on Campus. Students can make an appointment to see you outside of class by emailing you @parrington2@gsu.edu.

11. How many points can you earn by participating in or organizing a study group session?

  • You can earn up to 25 points can be earned by participating in a study group.
    We can earn participation credit by attending class. We must also interact with classmates and Ms.A, throughout the course.

12. How can you be assured of earning an “A” in this course?

  • Students who complete all four of the major projects and earn at least 2500 points will automatically receive a grade of “A.”

13. What are the minimum requirements for earning a passing grade of “C”?

  • Completing the 4 Major projects & also + 630-719 points

14. What do you do if you’re not sure how to document your participation in order to earn points?

  • If someone doesn’t know how to document their participation in order to earn points, they should ask before or after class or stop by Ms.A’s office during office hours.
