Obesity and related diseases are among major causes of mortality worldwide. Obesity is characterized by an imbalance between energy intake and expenditure when the first exceeds the latter.

Therefore, understanding the neural control of food intake and energy expenditure is of major importance to public health. My research focuses on 1) The neural and endocrine controls of appetite and body weight; 2) Control of thermogenesis and lipid metabolism by the sympathetic nervous system and sensory system; 3) Sensory innervation of brown, beige and white adipose tissues.
