In my research it informs you that Cognitive errors and Cognitive Biases is a part of every day life as a whole. Confirmation bias is favoring information that conforms with your pre-existing beliefs Cognitive biases with BLM is how some police officers handle certain situations. Black lives Matter became a saying to a global phenomenon. My sources states that an example of heuristic biases is how the police make lack luster decisions to shoot people without being aware of their decision and consequences of shooting innocent blacks whenever they want to. My 3-4 sources that I plan to put in Annotated Bibliography reflects my topic because Their is a argument to be made about people being Pro-BLM and against BLM as well as the way blacks are being treatment differently because they demand equality. Police officers always responded with backlash .
My research source reflects the argument because their are people out their who support BLM because It explains the reasons why people are standing for BLM because they want equality and change, and most likely the only way to impact change by people’s perspective was to make their voices heard around the world through protests and through plenty of platforms like twitter, Instagram, snapchat, and etc. Another reason is the miss use of Guns in our community on a daily bases. BLM made us all look at our lives in a very new perspective including to never take life for granted because you never know when your time is up. It was very unique to how people around the world became of any race become leaders and did anything to find other ways to voice themselves for the people that are children, Teenagers, and Adults who is getting treated unfairly and harrased everyday without any justice being served . Also, their are people in the world who are against BLM and disagrees with most of the things that is going on.
My source reflects my other argument and topic because their are also people who believe BLM is a bad thing in our community because it makes others feel like it only focuses on only blacks. Those others beliefs are really based off emotion and the attention that blacks get across the world with this movement affects people who are against BLM.
My research sources reflects my other argument about equality because it explains how the protests and fight for change made the judge officials finally make changes to some of the laws due to the number of deaths to blacks in the country. For instance the protest allowed George Floyd’s Family to finally receiving the justice he so richly deserves. Multiple people used various ways like protesting, rioting, making posters, drawing murals, Flyers to stand up to miss use of harassments and gun violence’s by several police departments of many states across the world. Also by doing that it will hold police officers accountable of their actions and it made them realize that violence is not the solution to all problems. Even other organizations like NBA, NFL, and NASCAR racing created ways to make an impact such as justice reforms on the back of their jerseys and even kneeling down to the national before the games begin, as well as shutting down games to focus on the outside world. It kind of felt like a distraction to the task at hand of getting the world back to normal. With that being said the BLM protest opened up the door for people to even have the courage to vote and use their voices for change in the world at large. For instance, that helps the landscape of politics change drastically. Finally, People these days now see black lives matter not only as a movement but a way of live for all races no matter of color.
Lastly, I want to express the the level of ease and/or difficulty I’m experiencing with compressing the source’s context into the precise three-sentence annotation required for each source. It was really difficult at first compressing the source’s context into the precise three-sentence annotation because I didn’t know what source context i was going to use and get it from but it became easy when I had found my sources because it help me have something to reflect back on when I’m finishing my 3 sentence annotation. At the end I’m happy that I went through those hurdles of gaining sources because I would have a trouble explaining things in detail
