just a career baker trying to make art in atlanta. i'm a returning student with a bba in marketing from georgia state. my bucket list goal is to get an mfa and study patisserie in france. possibly inspired by dough, my works are sculptural in value with emphasis on atmosphere and expressive line.
This is a still life depiction of a collard leaf in charcoal. This was my first time using charcoal and looking back I see that I overthought the medium. If I were to redo it, I would use more gestural lines to imply texture, and allow myself to be more dramatic with the lighter values.
