Hi there! My name is Ayman Vaid; it’s a name a lot of people have a hard time pronouncing. It really doesn’t bother me how you say my name; its quite entertaining to hear my name being pronounced in different ways. I find it really hilarious. My name means “blessing from God” which is pretty awesome. I am 19 years old and I am a second year student at Georgia State University. I am a Taurus, so you can look up what my personality is like on any horoscope site. I was born in Miami, FL, and raised in Orlando, FL. Both my siblings were born in Karachi, Pakistan, along with the rest of my extended family.

Fun Fact: I am the only one in my whole entire family who was born in the U.S.

I have an older brother three years older than me, and I have a younger sister who is three years younger than me. Yes, I am the middle child. People say that being the middle child is hard; they are so right. We have so many responsibilities, chores, expectations, and overall we are trained to be the second MOM of the household. But honestly, I really don’t mind. I actually love it because I am appreciated the most. Yeah so my little sister gets all the loving attention and my brother has a lot of freedom, but I like being the middle child because I feel like I am the most responsible out of all my siblings. I like being the one who my mom reaches out to when she needs help cooking or when my dad needs help putting up the ceiling fan.

When I look back at my childhood the thing I remember doing the most is swimming. I took swimming lessons for 11 years straight starting at 2 years old. I never planned on becoming a professional swimmer and neither did my parents, but I guess my parents wanted me and my siblings to stay active. I feel like most of my childhood was spent underwater. Growing up we moved a lot and before even applying to the schools, my dad would apply us to swimming lessons. I never did mind it, I actually fell in love with it. Being in the water just relaxes me and makes me happy. It’s a great way to escape from the world and just be at peace.

I have a love of traveling. Everything from packing, going to the airport, sitting on the plane, watching the sunset from 10,000 feet up in the air, running to catch your connecting flight, the feeling of breathing in fresh air after hours of travel; I love everything about it. I love seeing new places, meeting new people, eating new food, and taking on new crazy adventures. My favorite place I have ever travelled to has to be Langkawi Island, Malaysia. It has to be one of the most beautiful places on this earth. The water is crystal clear, the people are so nice, and the fruit is awesome. I haven’t traveled to many places, but I plan to in the future. The reason I love the idea of traveling so much is because of the memories you make. Looking back at the pictures just reminds you of the amazing time you had. It makes you want to travel more and make even more memories.
