Audio Interviews
Recording interviews is a great way to keep track of a primary resource when writing a research paper and can be an essential part of putting together a podcast.
Tips for Recording:
- Use the windscreen to help cut down on extra sound created from humming machinery or the wind blowing.
- Start recording 10 seconds before conducting the interview to give room for editing.
- Record in a quiet location.
- Have your interview subject give their name (and if you’re writing a paper) spell their name.
- If possible, use a monopod, tripod, or some kind of stand to avoid pressing buttons on the recorder.
