As my target audience is people from Colombia, my original survey was done in Spanish and can be found at https://forms.gle/R47Nb978MYGPBZeY9.

For the purpose of this assignment, I have also translated my survey into English, and this translated version can be seen below, or accessed at https://forms.gle/sBuWN8G6wgg6YJwf9.

IMPORTANT: A few interesting results from the survey are presented at the bottom of this page.

IMPORTANT 2: The survey will take you to a different place depending on your answer to “Have you ever filed taxes?”.

A few interesting results from my survey:

• 60% of the interviewees have filed taxes in the past.
• 59% of them, have negative feelings about the process. Only 15% of them like the process (the remaining 26% are neutral):

How do you feel about preparing your taxes?

1: It frustrates me, I don’t like it.       5: I love it.

• 96% of people hired an accountant. Only 1 person did their taxes by themselves.
• The average cost of hiring an accountant was $191,000 COP (roughly $53 USD):

• 96% of the people who hired an accountant, also gave the accountant their password to the “IRS”‘s website. Only 1 person did not.
• The average score of solutions is presented below. A solution that “Lets me know which paperwork I need to collect” is ranked first (by that metric), followed by “Prepares my taxes in such a way that it reduces to the minimum the amount to be payed” and then by “I hand it the paperwork and it does my tax preparation and filing for me”.
