Project I: Negative Space

Our first project in Drawing 1 was the negative space project. I remember not being too confident about this project because when working on it in class and drawing the negative space of still lives I wasn’t doing as good as I had hoped to do. Drawing negative space is basically drawing the spaces in between the objects to make the shapes. This project was great practice for learning proportions. My second photo I added was a in class practice of drawing an elaborate still life in class. I added this drawing to show how much I learned and grew in this project. The first drawing is the final drawing for our project and I feel very good about it. The project was to draw under our kitchen sinks. It was hard at first but then I took time and I really like how it turned out. This project was done with a 2b charcoal pencil and an eraser.
