I did this project on the book True Evil by Greg Iles. This book is about a man finding out his wife’s plans to have him murdered. There’s an organization that murders people’s spouses for money and Greg would become a victim of that organization if he didn’t act soon. As someone who watches a lot of crime shows this book stood out to me and I knew immediately that I wanted to construct a crime scene. I used air-dry clay for the body parts and the knife. I used a white gen pen to outline the bodies and evidence in an attempt to mimic the chalk outlines on crime scenes. I made the yellow placards by folding torn book pages and painting them with acrylic paint. I used a micron pen for the numbers on the placards because the sharpie wasn’t small enough. I painted the book page and sides with acrylic paint. Lastly I wrote the wording on the sides with sharpie.
