ENGL 3090: Atlanta Artifacts

This piece is from Dr. Wharton’s English 3090, Exposition: History, Theory, and Practice during the Spring semester of 2015. This piece is my curated section of a digital archive of historical artifacts.

The purpose of this assignment was to tie objects and their forms to their historical significance through object description, 3D modelling, and a digital timeline connecting our object to its history. I selected this piece as it was the culmination of a number of assignments we had for this course, and I believe it exhibits my work for each of these projects in a concise manner.

The strongest part of this piece is my 3D model, which I spent many hours refining to the point where I felt there was little more I could do to be happier with it, given my skill set at the time. The weakest part of this piece is my object description, which I believe could be revised better were I to give myself more practice in writing object descriptions for other items, then returning to the toothbrush with a fresh perspective on the writing style.
