Design Tips

1. Consistency is the golden rule of interface design and way finding!

2. Clear Navigation aids are important. Users should always be able to return easily to your home page and to other major navigation points in the site!

3. Users quickly adapt to content navigation within either the left column or far-right column of web pages—just be consistent in how you lay out your navigation on all pages. Left navigation columns are much more common and therefore have an edge in usability because all web users are familiar with them

professional networking portfolio

The University Career Website is fabulous! It has everything you need for a transition out of university. I was amazed at all the resources available to students and the external links they provide. They have courses on how to develop your profession portfolio as well as availability of making one-on-one appointments for personal questions. They also offer drop in session in case you have quick questions and are open through out the year. They have so many resources included assessments, fee schedules & resume tips so it might not even be necessary to drop it! You may be able to find it online! As an international student i thought it was great that they have an International student job search tab! This was particularly important to me because as an international student it can become difficult feeling alone when you’re looking for jobs and don’t have sufficient paperwork for employment! I would 100% recommend all students to look at the website and keep up with their workshops! The internships are based on year level which is great because you can be placed with people who have similar career aspirations. Did i forget to mention its all FREE!?!?!

Citation

I am very familiar with citation as I went to a very strict Highschool So I’ve been using both MLA and APA format for a few years now. I did learn that medical personal her their own way of citation. I also learned that GSU has their own citation builder website which is very helpful although I use another source.
