My experience with the Atlanta Civil and Human Rights Museum was enjoyable. I have never been to the museum before, and I did not know what to expect. I did expect the museum to be more prominent, but it was smaller and had a more intimate feel. I found it refreshing that the museum had a whole exhibit dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It also displayed a good amount of letters and news articles related to Dr. King. But it felt as if the whole exhibit revolved around Dr. King, which was fine, there should have been more information other people who fought for black people/civil rights. It was surprising to me that the museum had these different pictures and events that happened to people who were fighting for their freedom. It is so sad to think that black people had to fight, die, and kill for freedom. Even though these events happened and racism is not supposed to be happening it still does. That is why we don’t hear about the courage and sacrifices of more heroes because there is this part of the world that just doesn’t care, and that is just ridiculously sad.
